The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is a statutory corporation established under the Primary Industries Research and Development Act 1989. It is subject to accountability and reporting obligations set out in the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. It is responsible for planning, investing in and overseeing research and development, and delivering improvements in production, sustainability and profitability across the Australian grains industry.

Requirements

Organisers must apply via the Grains Investment Portal filling in the required fields and responding to the evaluation criteria below.
Successful applicants must submit a post event report to GRDC within 8 weeks of the completion of the event. A template is available under the ‘Useful documents- section, but organisers may also use their own format.
Evaluation Criteria

Purpose of the event and how the proposed program will support the purpose e.g. speakers, topics, field tours.
Scope and benefit of impact.
How will the event impact research and development, promote knowledge sharing and innovation, build industry capacity or increase on-farm adoption of R&D.
Entitlements to be offered in return for sponsorship.
There may be opportunities to talk to audiences, share R&D through speakers, trade stands, email campaigns or publications in event satchels, complimentary registrations or brand/logo placement.
A sponsorship prospectus may be attached before submission.
Alignment to GRDC strategy and priorities.
Our strategy is informed by the priorities of growers and industry, we need to understand where the tour fits in with the strategy, and if not what the reasons are for this. More information can be found on our website or RD&E Plan.
Consideration will also be given to:

Risk e.g. likelihood event will proceed as planned or mitigation measures, and the balance of investment across regions or investment areas.
