This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation rfq_f8t2lg6350a001 is being issued as a request for quotation (rfq). Quotes are due by 28 march 2017 @ 2:00 pm pst. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through federal acquisition circular (fac) 2005-55. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside iaw far 19.502-2 (a). The naics code for this acquisition is 333519 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The fsc for this acquisition is 3433 rolling mill and other metalworking machinery manufacturing. The following commercial product is requested in this solicitation:

chafe wrapping machine designed to spiral wrap bundles of wire up to 1-inch (25.4mm) in diameter. Machine must spiral wrap wires semi-automatically in adhesive and non-adhesive tape in both flexible and non-stretch tape with one or two tape rolls to allow up to two layers of tape at the same time in adjustable angles. The machine speed should have a variable controllable speed of 0-500 rpm or common commercial practice. Machine should operate on standard us voltage between 110-120vac and 60hz. Include any special tools to setup machine and user guide/instruction/maintenance manual. New condition equipment only.
