(i) The requirement is for Annual Maintenance Support Contract Renewal, Spectra Logic SpectraGuard Next Business Day On Site Support for the Spectra T120 (LTO-7) tape libraries, a proprietary hardware that currently serves to maintain a reliable enterprise system backup production environment and the continuity of operations (COOP) for the scientific mission at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center. This system ensures data protection from loss due to inadvertent user actions, hardware and software failure, and general disaster or emergency situations with offsite backup storage. The Spectra Logic T120 tape libraries are the primary device for creating secondary copies of the tape based system and data backups for offsite storage as part of the Center-s disaster protection and recovery (COOP) plan.
