this is a request for information only and your response is not an offer. This request for information does not commit the government to pay any costs incurred in preparation of any submission to this market survey, or to contract for services.
1. The military sealift command (msc) requests information pertaining to the availability of a u.s. Flag, jones act compliant vessel to support ussouthcom requirements from 15 september 2018 to 30 april 2019. This multi-mission support vessel (mmsv) will be chartered to provide proof of concept for a single vessel to meet varous training, exercise and operational mission support requirements.
2. Scope of work: the mmsv shall serve as host to a maximum of 40 sponsor personnel and 50 transient personnel. The vessel shall be available for day and night operations to perform launch, recovery and refueling of various size craft both organic and non-organic in support of various operational and exercise training events. The vessel shall also support the launch and recovery of various remotely operated vehicles (rov's). The contractor shall provide messing, berthing, administrative / operational space, and logistics support. The vessel must provide berthing for up to 30 sponsor personnel. Meals will be provided for both sponsor and transient personnel. The contractor shall independently operate all deck equipment to include the craft launching and recovery systems, and refueling systems.
