Soil remediation of house gardens in the sanierungswertzone dornach
the soils in the dornach area are burdened with heavy metals due to the earlier operation of the metallwerke dornach. The present construction project includes the renovation of soils on 16 plots (single-family houses with gardens). The ground area to be renovated (green areas without built-up or sealed areas) is around 6, 800 m2. The soil remediation is by the austaureached the top 40 cm of the floor. The trees and bushes are excavated or cleared, mulch gut removed, the existing contaminated soil removed and unloaded soil (bottom and topsoil) fed and put back on. Trees and shrubs are planted again. The original state of the gardens should be restored as far as possible,
