The subject-matter of the Framework Agreements is software development and maintenance for all IT related areas supporting the EPO`s day-to-day operation and its strategic goals as well as related technical services. Due to the complex and unique nature of the EPO`s tasks, some of the applications concerned are extremely complex, integrating custom-developed software and commercial-off-the-shelf products and systems. The applications and technologies are grouped into Business Area Domains that constitute coherent groups.
