Saxion has around 200 different software applications. This varies from software and licenses for office environment up to and including domain/business process specific task applications.
Saxion has centralized contract management for license and IT related agreements within the department LCM (supplier and contract management). For example, Saxion has a grip on all different contracts and suppliers and we are well able to steer.
Saxion buys a number of licenses through SURF and we also regularly organize European - and multiple private tenders for the Purchase of customized labels and certain licenses for standard software.
With the contracting of a supplier (software broker) for the delivery of standard software (commercial off-the-shelf, COTS) and associated service and maintenance, Saxion aims for an additional purchasing channel within the organization.
Through this European tender, Saxion strives to conclude a framework agreement with one tenderer for the delivery of:
• user rights (licenses);
• Maintenance and support on these user rights (licenses and/or software assurance) of end manufacturers or software suppliers for standard software;
