Background of the procurement The object of the procurement is an expert service related to tourism forecasting and scenario work as part of the Managing Tourism with information in Sodankylä project (A91610) implemented by the municipality of Sodankylä. The project is financed by Northern Finland's Elinvoimakeskus from the European Regional Development Fund's (EAKR) operating environment development grant as part of the Renewing and Competent Finland 2021-2027 program. The goal of the project is to develop Sodankylä tourism management with knowledge. In the project, tourist data has been collected, an extensive tourist survey has been carried out, and a knowledge-based management operating model has been built to support the development of tourism. The goal of the project is to improve the knowledge base of the municipality's tourism information, and a more detailed list of goals can be found in the project plan on the municipality's website (link below). The implementation period of the project ends on December 31, 2026, so the procurement must be completed as a whole by now.
