Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Social Media Training Consultant

Scope of Work
Brief summary of the assignment: We are in search of an experienced social media consultant to
provide training to our staff and project target group members—budding Social Media personalities
who have been granted a small budget, enabling them to execute campaigns in their respective
communities. The focus will be on optimizing the use of social media tools and developing a strategic
approach to enhance social media engagement, with insights gained from campaign reports and
adjustments based on open-source data. Furthermore, one part of the training should transfer the
necessary skills to shoot effective pictures and videos and editing them into shorts and stories that are
catchy and appealing, given the limitations of the content mandated by the project. The level of skill
for all these topics should be at a more general level for staff and at a slightly more challenging
(advanced level) for the actual target group members. The logic of this is that staff will be enabled to
follow, monitor, and support the target group, while the target group members will produce, deliver,
and manage the actual social media campaigns. The content of the training workshops should be
presented and taught in a practical, participatory, and modular fashion.
• Assess the current state of our social media presence and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyse and identify the social media platforms or channels best suitable for staff and target
youth to use.
• The consultant will equip staff and target youth with the knowledge including but not limited
to good storyline development, tools, and skills to effectively produce content:
o Content production: Video / still picture shooting and editing using common smart
phones;
o Etiquette in dealing with persons featuring in these pictures, videos and stories;
• The consultant will equip staff and target youth with the knowledge including but not limited
to good storyline development, tools and skills to manage and utilize social media
platforms:
o Sharing and managing content effectively with useful tools, e.g. social media content
calendar and others;
o How to keep focus on a mandated objective (in our case safe migration and education)
while capitalizing on social media trends and tools - how to synergize these two
objectives;
o understand data-driven social media analytics and reporting, enabling them to
measure the success of the project social media efforts and make necessary
adjustment.
• Addressing the above, create training materials (e.g., slides, handouts, cheat sheets) that
participants can reference after the training.
• The consultant will suggest a suitable social media content strategy aligned with our overall
target audience and project objectives.
• Establish and grow number of followers, elicit likes and establish yourself as social media
personality.
The consultant will provide guidance on best practices for social media engagement
including community management, responding to comments, and crisis management (hateful
reactions).
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff after the training completion.
• Provide a final report summarizing the training outcomes and recommendations for future
social media initiatives.
