The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Herlong, CA intends to issue a solicitation for the requirement of: Smoke Detection Device Upgrade and installation. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210; the small business size standard is 500 employees. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government reserves the right to make formal single or multiple awards. Delivery is required by September 30, 2026. Late deliveries will result in a negative performance evaluation.
A site visit will be conducted on June 25, 2026 at 10:00 am. Any interested parties are to contact myself at [email protected] to receive a packet to fill out to be cleared to enter the institution. All packets must be received by COB June 22, 2026. Any individual who does not receive clearance to enter the institution by June 24, 2026 will not be permitted to enter the institution.
Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer which will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or after May 28, 2026, with a due date of July 15, 2026 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
