The object of the acquisition is 1-2 smart lockers for the Kittilä municipal library: one next to the library's entrance, in an outdoor space, and as an option, another one in the interior, in a business space in Sirka kylä. The smart locker placed outdoors is accessible to everyone and at the mercy of the weather. Its must withstand weather changes from summer heat to freezing temperatures. The cabinet to be placed in the interior Sirkka, possibly purchased as an option, will be in a public space that can be reached during the opening hours of the Retail Store. Smart cabinets must enable self-service real-time borrowing, returning and retrieving of library materials and printing receipts for the customer. The smart cabinet must be compatible with the Koha library system. The customer must be able to be authenticated as a user with a library card. Lapland the library uses barcode recognition, but for future needs the lockers must also be able to read RFID codes. The smart locker requires browser-based management software that enables remote access, generates user statistics and automatically sends error messages. A Finnish user interface is also mandatory.
