Description
Small Arms Protective Inserts (SAPI) for Foreign Military Sales in support of United States Army Security Assistance Command. See the attached Solicitation and supporting documents for all the details.
The Small Arms Protective Insert (SAPI) is for mounted and dismounted Soldiers Outer Tactical Vests (OTV) during a full spectrum of combat operations. When placed in the Outer Tactical Vest (OTV), the insert provides the Soldier with ballistic protection from specific 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm rifle rounds. This Statement of Requirements (SOR) addresses specifically the Small Arms Protective Insert (SAPI).
