The purpose of this proposal is to secure a Small-Angle x-ray Scattering System, a versatile characterization tool capable of 1D & 2D SAxS, 1D & 2D WAxS and 1D & 2D powder diffraction, transmission diffraction, and grazing incidence diffraction measurements. This system would allow further characterization of cathode and anode materials for battery research and manufacturing as well as for other bio related materials. Our primary objective for acquiring a Small-Angle x-ray Scattering System is enhanced our battery research laboratory and manufacturing line to meet the high demand on battery related projects around southern Ontario.
