Skownan First Nation is calling tenders for the Waste Site Closure and Eco Depot project. The project works must be completed by December 12, 2025. Sealed tenders will be received up to 11:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the office of JR Cousin Consultants Ltd. (JRCC), 91A Scurfield Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.A partial listing of the works is as follows: Closure of the existing waste cell including: cleanup of windblown litter, topsoil stripping, relocation and compaction of 6, 250 m3 of existing waste material, waste cell cover, and ditching Approximately 20, 820 m3 of excavation Construction of an Eco Depot facility including: Approximately 4, 300 m2 of Granular A-Base and C-Base for access road and material storage compounds Supply and placement of pre-cast jersey barriers 280 m of fixed knot fencing Supply and placement of a 38 m2 pre-fabricated garage and office building Supply and placement of a portable washroom facility Supply and placement of four seacans for material collection Installation of two new monitoring wells Signage, seeding, etc. A pre-tender meeting and test holes will be completed at the existing waste site at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 28, 2025.Contact Brett McCormac, P.Eng.
