ACTION:
The United States Air Force Test Center/Directorate of Contracting (AFTC/PZIOB) Edwards AFB, CA, intends to award a single source contract to Marvel Aero International Inc. in order to upgrade Aircraft Battery Management System (ABMS) hardware and software to a station ABMS-10X. The applicable NAICS code is 335999 (All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing) with a size standard of 600 employees.
JUSTIFICATION:
The Government intends to solicit with only one source under the authority of RFO 6.103-1(b), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, which states, “Agencies may contract without providing for full and open competition when the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement."
