Providing expert support in the environmental management of a number of strategic infrastructure projects of the Mobility and Public Works Department. Environmental management is a structured and proactive method that focuses on aligning different interests minimizing disruption and creating support for the realization of complex projects. Communication, stakeholder involvement and risk management are the core of this. By responding to developments in a timely manner and being open to dialogue with everyone who is 'affected' by it project, environmental management increases the chance of successful implementation of the project. Initially, environmental management is expected for the complex New Lock Zeebrugge and Extra Container Handling Capacity Antwerp project, with the associated adjustment of the E34 to height of the Waaslandhaven and the R2. The scope of the assignment includes stakeholder management, risk and opportunity analysis, participation processes, consultation rounds, and other related tasks.
