The objective of the Signal Infrastructure Replacement Program is to carry out the construction replacement of various intersections throughout the City. The scope of work consists of replacing aging traffic signal infrastructure including: bases, steel, traffic cabinets, wiring and cables, conduit, tracer wires, pull strings, urds, duct work, traffic signal fixtures, signs, poles, signals and all other components required to replace this infrastructure, This also includes the installation of a new power distribution cabinet between distribution and traffic signal electric works.
As a part of the 2025 construction season priorities The City of Red Deer is looking for construction of replacement of damaged bases and steel for traffic signals and lighting at the following locations:
1. 49 Street and 49 Avenue
2. 49 Street and 48 Avenue
3. 49 Street and 47 Avenue
4. 48 Street and 49 Avenue
5. 45 Street and 50 Avenue (Provisional)
