Sealed bids for the Sidewalk Leveling Project will be received by the City of Des Peres, City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, then publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.The Scope of Work consists of the leveling of approximately 658 concrete sidewalk slabs, spread throughout the City, by cementitious grout injection. Slabs to be leveled will be marked prior to the start of work by City Staff. Most sidewalk within the City is four feet (4-) wide, but there may be a few locations that are five feet (5-) wide. These slabs have settled over time, holding water and/or creating trip hazards. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications. Timing of the work is flexible, but it is expected that once work commences, it must be completed within 30 calendar days. Bid packages will be available beginning Monday, January 5, 2026 from the Des Peres City Clerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131, or they can be downloaded immediately by visiting http://www.desperesmo.org/bids.aspxNot less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
