The object of the market is the provision of services relating to the realization of karst monographs in three volumes in the hydrographic sub-basin of the Vesdre. Description of the services to be executed: this market follows the creation of twelve karst monographs, of which eleven published, Regarding the Basins of the upstream Meuse, the Lesse, the Hoyoux and the Soliere, the Haute-Meuse and the Ourthe. Karst monographs by limestone sub-basins constitute an essential tool to integrate and take into account the specificity of the subsoil of limestone areas in management and environmental protection, groundwater and regional planning. They are also part of the priority actions of the Vesdre river contract by contributing in particular to a better consideration by all the actors of the problem of the problematic groundwater in the management of the basin, water resources (catchments), but also flood problems. In addition to a paper publication providing the location and the precise description of each inventorized karst phenomenon, the monographs provide an update From the Database of Karst Phenomena of Wallonia, with a view to its use in a geographic information system (GIS) managed by the Directination of the Coordination of SPW Arne data and accessible to all on the Cigale and Walonmap servers of the Walloon Region.
