THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies/equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b). The National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to award a single source purchase order to Leica Microsystems, Deerfield, IL, for the acquisition of preventive service maintenance for the government owned Leica SP8 WLL2 TAN Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope with Falcon (Decal # 01963841, ID# 81-920).
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) needs to obtain the annual preventative service maintenance agreement for a clinical instrument (Leica SP8 WLL2 TAN Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope with Falcon). The instrument-s service shall consist of a thorough cleaning, calibration, adjusting, inspection, and testing of all equipment in accordance with the manufacturer-s latest established service procedures. All equipment shall be operationally tested through at least one (1) complete operating cycle at the end of the preventive maintenance inspection to ensure optimum and efficient performance. Software Service and updates are required as part of the contract and should include original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, proprietary software updates and include a guaranteed on-site response. Technicians must be technically certified to work on Leica equipment.

Option Year 1: 03/01/2027 - 02/28/2028
Option Year 2: 03/01/ 2028 - 02/28/2029
