The u.s. Food and drug administration (fda), office of acquisitions and grants services (oags) has issued this sources sought announcement on behalf of the national center for toxicological research (nctr), phototoxicology facility, who is seeking potential small business providers who can provide a service agreement for an edstrom water system.
Please note that any potential small business must be responsible for providing at least 51% of the proposed services that it offers as a solution. Merely subcontracting or outsourcing the services to a large business is not an acceptable solution and the prime contractor would not qualify as a small business.
Background:
the fda/nctr, phototoxicology facility, currently utilizes an edstrom automated watering system which monitors and assures the water quality delivered to animal racks which meet or exceeds the standards for glp studies. The existing automated water system was obtained and installed by edstrom industries, inc., which has continued to maintain the equipment and software to monitor the system insuring its performance under a preventative maintenance contract.
