Description
This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate an other than full and open competition basis with Global Life Sciences (Cytiva) for a Fullcare service agreement for a Biacore 8K+.

The SPR instrument allows ITS to analyze specific immune responses following infection and vaccine induced immune response. This project will seek characterize the qualities of antibodies induced by vaccination or infection. This evaluation allows for the development of next generation vaccines and therapeutics and is used to support ongoing clinical trials evaluating vaccines for SARS-CoV-2 and Nipah virus, as well as evaluate new therapeutic monoclonal antibody candidates.
In this project, ITS has developed an assay that will assess the reactivity of vaccine-induced antibodies in a quantitative manner. This project uses a high-throughput SPR instrument, which requires preventative maintenance once a year and periodic maintenance by a technician trained specifically for this instrument. The ITS requires a FullCare Service Agreement for a Biocore 8K+ S/N: 29283382-2673827.
