Background

the chief electoral officer of canada (“ceoc”), an agent of parliament, exercises general direction and supervision over the conduct of elections and referendums at the federal level. The ceoc heads the office of the chief electoral officer, commonly known as elections canada.

It stewardship division is responsible for establishing strategies, frameworks, processes and tools to ensure effective stewardship of it activities and resources across the agency. This will include the areas of governance and planning, project management, quality assurance and enterprise architecture. This division has specific leadership responsibility for the development of the frameworks and strategies for rationalization and consolidation of it applications at elections canada as well as for integrated data management. The it stewardship division is the centre of electoral event coordination in ciob.
