UN Women is seeking one (1) Partner Organization to map unsafe or high-risk places of gender-based sexual violence in the city of Jeremie as part of the implementation of Project activities. Support to Conflict Resolution and the Promotion of Social Cohesion for Youth in VilThis initiative seeks, in a logic of prevention of violence and with a particular attention onthe young people (girls and boys) and the organizations of young people, to promote a culture of peace and a closer link and of collaboration between civil society and public administration. In this sense, the project seeks to accompany theJeremiah and the young women and men of the city through a process of consultation and education and awareness actions for peace that seem essential to strengthen the social contract between the local administration and its citizens. This initiative will unfold its actions in the commune of Jrmie, main city of the DepartemeGrand Anse, heavily affected by Hurricane Mathieu in October 2016.The development of a social dialogue between and with young people on issues of citizenship, gender relationsand violence is an important area of intervention to open a debate on the causes, impact and environments in which violent acts are perpetratedThe partnership with youth organizations and educational and academic institutions is one of the vehicles associated with social mobilization to achieve this goal.
