Sealed bids for the Old Dougherty Ferry Sediment Removal Project will be received by the City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope.The Scope of Work includes the removal of approximately 545 cubic yards of sediment as well as clearing of vegetation and construction of an access route. Traffic control and other incidental items shall be included as shown in the specifications.The plans indicate accessing via St. Louis County right-of-way. Plans have been reviewed by St. Louis County, but the contractor will be required to provide certificate of insurance and acquire the Special Use Permit. Bid packages will be available Monday, March 23rd, 2026 from the Des Peres City Clerk, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131 or they can be downloaded immediately by visiting http://www.desperesmo.org/bids.aspxNot less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workers performing under this Contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri.A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City.
