Kneehill County is inviting proposals from qualified proponents to develop sector profiles for use by economic development for business expansion and investment attraction purposes.
Refreshed sector profiles are required to gain a further understanding of Kneehill County's industry sectors in which to spur expansion and attract investment. The absence of these foundational tools is limiting neehill County-s ability to be responsive to support businesses and attract investment to diversify Kneehill County-s economy. The County is seeking to increase engagement through the profiles with the businesses in addition to informing the public, businesses and investors about the economic potential, challenges and opportunities of the sectors in the County.
In August 2025, Kneehill County completed a competitive land analysis and an economic base overview that has identified the following sectors for Kneehill County: - Agriculture (Production, Support Services, Agricultural Manufacturing, & Value-add Processing), - Energy, - Tourism and - Warehousing and Logistics.
Furthermore, the competitive land analysis provides a detailed overview of the County-s labour, available land (lack of shovel ready lands) and infrastructure. 2025 Lightcast data was utilized for these documents. The successful respondent will be provided these documents upon project award.
