Fabrication of Emergence Tower Screen Trays is necessary to supply highly specialized Sterile Insect Techniqueequipment to the NWS program to combat the spread of New World Screwworm in South America and Central Mexicobefore it infests areas of the Southern United States. Aircraft and Equipment Operations (AEO) has repeatedly providedsupport to SIT programs in the fabrication of specialized equipment. Procurement of raw materials in bulk form for thefabrication of this equipment is an effective use of program allocations to avoid delays in the delivery of sterile insects totargeted areas.
