Specific instructions on submitting your proposal will be contained in the solicitation documents to be posted at www.sam.gov Contract Opportunities (SAM). No documents will be available until the solicitation is issued. All parties are responsible for checking the SAM website for the most current information. All dates in this announcement are estimates and are subject to change. The solicitation, once issued, will contain instructions for submitting questions. No questions regarding this acquisition will be accepted or addressed/answered prior to the formal solicitation issuance.In accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue Solicitation No.140R3023R0023 on or around September 15, 2023. The closing date for acceptance of proposals is anticipated to be 30 days from the date the solicitation is actually issued. The Bureau of Reclamation, Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin has a requirement to refurbish safety doors at the Hoover Dam Penstock. The work consists of refurbishing thirty-seven safety doors installed to mitigate powerhouse flooding in the event of penstock failure. The doors, and their appurtenances, are original to the plant. There are four types of doors to be refurbished. The principal components of work include but not limited to the following:1. Inspection of doors, frames, operating mechanisms, and wear parts.a.
