This is a sources sought notice. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement.
This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only.
Background: the ncats analytical chemistry is primarily focused on small molecule analysis and purification, the laboratory has a wide variety of instrumentation for medicinal, synthetic and analytical chemistry to support early-stage chemical development. The analytical chemistry lab currently owns several buchi systems which are being used to support research activities. The required equipment will support work that has already begun with the currently owned buchi systems.
Purpose and objectives: the purpose of this contract is to procure four buchi rotavapor r-300 system to support ongoing research activities while maintaining consistency in this research. In addition, a care plan for this equipment is required.
Project requirements:

contractor requirements: the contractor will provide the following:
1. Four buchi rotavapor r-300 systems including the following parts and technical specifications:
a. Lift system: electronic heating bath: b-305 (20 - 220, 5l)

b. Standard joint: sj 24/40

c. Glass assembly: cold trap (c)

d. Protective coating: p+g safety coating

e. Interface: i-300, woulff bottle

f. Recirculating chiller f-305 / f-308.

G. Vacuum pump: v-300 (1.8m3/h, 5mbar)

h. Voltage: 100 - 120v
2. Four buchi premier care plan
the buchi premier care plan shall provide a personal visit by the evaporation specialist for inspection and cleaning of the buchi evaporation system, application questions regarding processes, or training of personnel on proper usage and optimization techniques. This support system shall be available up to two times annually.
Capability statement /information sought. Contractors that believe they possess the ability to provide the requirement should submit documentation of their ability to meet each of the project requirements to the contract specialist. The response should directly and specifically state in the, capabilities statement, which project requirements you can supply. Contractors must also provide their company name, duns number, physical address, point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), hubzone, etc.) pursuant to the applicable naics code and any other information that may be helpful in developing or finalizing the acquisition requirements.
The information submitted must be must be in an outline format that addresses each of the elements of the project requirement and in the capability statement /information sought paragraphs stated herein.

The response must include the respondents technical and administrative points of contact, including names, titles, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses.
All responses (capability statements) sent in response to this small business sources sought notice must be submitted electronically (via e-mail) to the contract specialist. Facsimile responses are not accepted.
