Background Trøndelag County Council needs external professional assistance to prepare a regional road map for Trøndelag's competitiveness. The work is based on the Draghi report on European competitiveness and NHO's work on Norwegian competitiveness. With this as a backdrop, Trøndelag County Council wants to develop a regional road map with recommendations to strengthen Trøndelag's competitiveness in the coming years. Trøndelag is a strong innovation region and classified as a European Innovation Leader, with the potential for more high-growth companies, higher exports, increased investor attraction and stronger regional visibility. The need does not concern the development or implementation of measures, but a short, clear and action-oriented document with recommendations that can provide direction for further cross-sectoral development in the region. The road map shall not establish its own targets, but support existing regional targets.
