Landsvirkjun (LV) is currently exploring the feasibility of increasing the active volume of Þórisvatn Reservoir. The pre-feasibility study assumes large volume pumping from the reservoir via tunnels and/or canals, by-passing an existing outlet structure.
In order for LV to assess whether this project is feasible from a technical, financial, environmental and operational point of view, we invite interested parties with the relevant experience (as explained further below) to participate in a Preliminary Market Consultation Process (PMC). All information and documents from participating organizations with the relevant experience who are interested in taking part in this consultation process will be handled with full confidentiality. Since this is a PMC process, LV does not commit to undertake any procurement process in respect of these projects and/or award any contracts in this procedure.
