MEDITE Europe DAC are seeking suitably qualified Mechanical Engineering companies to install a Transport Carriage and a Thin board Doubling-up station at their plant at Medite Europe DAC, Redmondstown, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Part 1. Installation of thin board Double-Up station at Line 1 Press outfeed MEDITE Europe DAC requires the installation of a board transport / thin board Doubling-up station between L1 Press exit and the 1 board cooler, to accommodate master panel of different sizes. This is composed of 3 connected belt conveyors, a thin board blocking mechanism (pneumatic) and some local control panels mounted on it. It is 9655mm in total length and 3139 in width. It will replace the existing roller-conveyor and similarly will be located above existing angled conveyor (staying) into the board-breaker. Its legs will be on same footprint, sitting outside those of angled conveyor. Installation will first require removal of the roller conveyor. The OEM supplying the system is Kontra AG. It is envisaged that removal of existing roller conveyor and replacement with Double-Up station will take place during Line1 annual shutdown (ASD) in June 2025 (Wks. 24 + 25). Removal of old conveyor, mechanical installation of new one and connection of services is to take place in the first week of ASD.
