PUBLIC TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT: - Brief Scope: Project Overview The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) is launching the third iteration of its Terrestrial and Marine Habitat Mapping initiative, following successful projects conducted in 2015 and 2020. The 2025 project aims to build upon previous efforts by leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence and remote sensing technologies to enhance the accuracy, granularity, and utility of habitat data for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Key Deliverables 1. Updated Habitat Maps o High-resolution mapping of terrestrial and marine habitats using recent WorldView-2/3 or equivalent satellite imagery. o Classification aligned with EAD-s habitat classification system, provided in ESRI geo database format. 2. AI-Based Habitat Health Assessment o First-time application of AI models to evaluate ecological condition and resilience of habitats. o Outputs include spatial layers showing habitat condition scores and a technical report outlining methodology and conservation implications. 3.
