Solicitation Description : SCOPE: Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 2165.001, Custodianship of State Property, and Section 2156.121, Use of Competitive Sealed Proposals, the Texas Facilities Commission is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal for the purchase and installation of magnetic door holders to all classroom and dormitory doors opening into fire rated corridors at the Texas School for the Deaf campus located in Austin, Texas. CONTRACT TERM: : This service shall be for a period beginning on the date the contract, as defined below, is executed by both parties, and shall expire on August 31, 2020. Service Requirements. Contractor shall provide a turn key installation for magnetic door holders on all classroom doors entering into common corridors and shall include the following: Provide and install power supplies, control modules, programming, testing, cable power, and miscellaneous hardware as required. Provide and install cable supports as required. Provide and install conduit and boxes as required. Four (4) metal concrete anchors per J-Box containing magnet(s) will be require for durability. Provide and install all fire alarm cable and equipment as needed. Painting of conduit. Removal of existing permanent door stops attached to the existing doors. Working Hours. All work to classrooms will be performed after classroom hours (i.e., after 4:00 PM), on weekends, or during school holidays. Work to dormitory buildings can be performed from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday or during holiday breaks. Weekend work must be scheduled with the TFC Contract Administrator. Most maintenance will be conducted during the normal business hours of 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.; however, maintenance that interferes with the day to day business operations of TFC facilities may be conducted after 6:00 P.M. or on weekends. Other contract work may also be performed at hours other than normal business hours, at the direction of the TFC Contract Administrator, in order to meet required schedules.
