Synopsis: the white river national forest requireds farrier services in the blanco ranger district (meeker, colorado) and the rifle ranger district (rifle, colorado).
The blanco rd has 3 horses and 2 mules which winter board in maybell, co necessitating travel there for one trimming per year.
The rifle rd has 4 horses and 1 mule which are pastured in rifle all year long.
To meet this requirement, we intend to award a base purchase order with 4 option years to the vendor who can best meet the requirements.
Determination factors: prices and demonstrated/proven ability to work with horses and mules and provide hoof health (trimming and shoeing) for animals used for back country travel.
Basis for award: the basis for the award will be based on best value for the government based upon the factors above. The expected total value of this award for the five year period is between $15, 000 and $18, 000.
Contract details: commercial simplified acquisition procedures apply. Far clause 52.222-41 service contract labor standards apply. The dol wage determination for garfield and rio blanco county is attached. The the awarded vendor must be active in www.sam.gov and submit invoices via www.ipp.gov .
Submittal procedures: email your proposal to the poc no later than the response dates. Include your farrier qualifications, experience, references and price schedule. Price schedule should include prices for trimming only, shoeing and travel as applicable.please consult the list of document viewers if you cannot open a file.
