Tender Details

The total restoration file consists of 3 phases: - restoration of the tower (phase 1) - carried out - restoration of the church building and sacristy (phase 2) - restoration of the interior and exterior walls (phase 3) The facade parts are mainly carried out in brick masonry. The pointing of this masonry is so weathered and contaminated in several places that frost and water damage is increasing. The exterior restoration of the roofs is part of the 2nd phase (in progress in 2025). At the same time the zinc gutters and drains will be replaced as the zinc has become cracked and is still difficult to weld. Phase 3 is described in these specifications. The interior is included in this phase, in particular the restoration of the plasterwork (walls and... vaults) and paintings (including restoration of murals), the interior carpentry, statues of saints and triumphal cross to be preserved, as well as a preliminary investigation of the stained glass windows. The restoration works of this phase 3 therefore include: Phase 3: 1) cleaning the external brick walls. Restoring the damaged natural stone, partly by judicious replacement, partly by repair with repair mortars 2) Restoring weakened brick masonry (including wall bases) 3) Protection and consolidation of the natural stone and the brickwork by adapted treatment methods such as anti-moss treatment where necessary to preserve the existing stones 4) Injection against rising damp 5) Jointing work...
