Residual waste - transport and treatment from RfD's transfer station The renovation company for the Drammen region IKS, hereafter referred to as the client or RfD, invites an open tender for the transport and treatment of residual waste from the pick-up scheme. RfD is a inter-municipal company owned by five municipalities: Drammen, Lier, Modum, Sigdal and Øvre Eiker. The company provides collection and recycling of household waste in the Drammen region. In the five owner municipalities, there are approx. 172, 000 inhabitants, 77, 000 households and 8 000 holiday homes. In addition, RfD operates six recycling stations and one transshipment station. RfD delivers a sustainable recycling service based on source sorting, recycling, waste minimization and reuse. From autumn 2026, RfD will itself operate the pick-up scheme for waste from households in the Drammen region on its own. From January 2027, we will also switch from 2 to 4 weekly collection frequency for residual waste.
