VTT has a considerable number of different software used by research for different purposes. Licenses for programs are currently obtained from various sources. The purpose of the acquisition is to provide a channel for some of those using the research for software license acquisitions. The object of the acquisition is the resale of research software licenses (brokerage service) and related support. The supplier is responsible for the sale and management of licenses, the processing of license orders, their technical - and implementation support throughout the contract period. Support includes e.g. clarification of possible problem situations with the software manufacturer in unclear matters related to software licenses. The object of the procurement is described in more detail in the tender documents.
