General work description:The District of Columbia Department of General Services (“District”, “Department” or “DGS”) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) to solicit Statements of Qualifications (“SOQ(s)”) from those entities (“Offeror(s)”) interested in performing public utility design, installation and infrastructure improvements, for various District of Columbia owned properties within the DGS construction portfolio (“Project Locations”). As is more fully described below, such work may include, but is not limited to, public utility design, installation and infrastructure improvements, and other miscellaneous work as may be necessary. The contractor(s) selected under this procurement (the “Contractor(s)”) should be capable of self-performing 50% of the Scope of work with its own in-house personnel efforts such as:Design and implementation of Dry Utilities (communications, duct banks, conduits, tapholes, vault structures, manholes, electrical duct bank installation, site work and grading)Wet Utilities (water lines, storm water management systems, sanitary lines, wastewater, drainage)Surface Improvements (roadways and parking lots, curb and gutters, sidewalk, green infrastructure - porous pavement)Specialty Civil Works (trenchless rehabilitation, pavement markings, crack sealing, joint sealing)
