I. GENERAL INFORMATIONThe City of Crestwood, Missouri (the “City”) seeks to obtain statements of qualifications from experienced executive recruitment firms to assist the City in the search and selection process for the position of City Administrator. The City seeks a qualified consultant with demonstrated success in recruiting top-level municipal executives and a clear understanding of local government operations.A. BACKGROUNDThe City of Crestwood was originally incorporated as a fourth-class city in 1947 and became a Charter City in 1995. The City of Crestwood consists of approximately 3.6 square miles, is located in southwest St. Louis County and has an approximate population of 12, 500.The City is governed by a Board of Aldermen/Mayor/City Administrator form of government. All legislative power and policy making authority resides with the Board of Aldermen. The Mayor is elected by the citizens at large. The City Administrator is responsible for all day to day operations of the City.
