Tender are invited for Request for Public CommentChena River Walk - Stage III - Segment 1Project Number NFHWY00280The State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) requests your comments on the proposed Chena River Walk project. DOT&PF is proposing to expand the Chena River walk to the north side of the Chena River from the Peger Road/Phillips Field intersection to the Chena River pedestrian bridge crossing at Pioneer Park. The project is needed to provide a new segment of multi-use pathway along the north side of the Chena River that fills a connective gap in the existing Chena River Walk recreational pathway which currently extends east-west along the south side of the river from Peger Road to Barnette Street in downtown Fairbanks. By completing this proposed segment, the path will provide a continuous, separated, multi-use path from downtown all the way to University Avenue.
