The Town of Creston (the “Town”) is requesting Proposals from qualified consultants (the “Proponent”) with expertise in replacement of the Splash Park slip resistant soft surfacing. Proponents with proven experience and expertise replacement of the slip resistant soft surfacing are invited to submit Proposals, which set out how they propose to meet the goals, objectives, and other requirements of this RFP. The Town-s goal is to receive Proposals that meet or exceed the mandatory requirements of this RFP, evaluate the submitted proposals, and enter a Contract with a Proponent for the execution of the services laid out herein. This project includes supply, delivery, and installation of new slip resistant soft surfacing on the existing Splash Park. The removal of the existing rubber surfacing will be completed by Town crew prior to the scheduling of the installation of new surface. The concrete surface will also be pressure washed in advance of the installation. The following information is intended to guide and inform the playground equipment design and installation included in proposal submissions: • The Splash Park is approximately 5100 ft2. • The round ends of the park are approximately 59 feet and 54 feet in diameter and the length of the park is approximately 111 feet in length. • Soft surfacing should be a minimum of one half inch. • Soft surfacing should be slip resistant in wet conditions. • Soft surfacing should incorporate different colors and design/pattern.
