This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for Mechanical Engineering Services as further described below (the “Deliverables”): SaskTel maintains a small multidisciplinary group of Building Designers in Regina who may be required to consult with an external Mechanical Engineer for the provision of mechanical design consulting services in support of SaskTel projects that vary in size and complexity. Such projects could include construction projects, tenant renovations and/or improvements, data centre design, controls and automation, new buildings, mechanical equipment replacements, and other multi-disciplinary commercial construction. The Supplier will be responsible to apply in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering consulting services to designs in commercial and light industrial facilities. Proficiency will be required in mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, computer room air conditioning, data centre design, generator fuel and exhaust design, Competence will be required in all relevant codes related to mechanical systems. The Supplier will be asked to lead or contribute to project teams consisting of SaskTel team members and other external consultants. Requirements for involvement in project management, contract administration and construction support relating to designs will be at SaskTel-s discretion. Designs will be completed in the latest version of AutoCAD or Revit, as directed by SaskTel.

Additional Information:

Suppliers participating in this RFP will propose qualified and experienced resources. The supplier will designate a prime resource for the roles of a Principal/Senior Engineer (P.Eng), Engineer-in-Training and a technologist (if applicable) as described further in the Resource Qualifications section.
