Description : The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is seeking proposals for GIS Consulting Services to manage a centralized spatial data information system called Lightship. The Project is in collaboration with the Regional Roundtable members, an integrated multi-agency committee collaborating and coordinating wildfire resiliency efforts within the RDCK. The platform operates similarly to other well-known GIS solutions. The work will include but is not limited to learning from experienced GIS Lightship Technicians on the functionality of the platform, establish and maintain data structures, automate processes, forms, report templates, notifications, involvement in the Roundtable meetings to understand discussions, communicate with the Roundtable members to collate various spatial database information, and organize them into shareable forms as applicable to the Roundtable-s needs and to configure and manage an internal web map application. This project provides an opportunity to continue to learn with the Roundtable members in order to find a solution to the need for a comprehensive and coordinated effort to increase wildfire resiliency in the region.
