The consultancy will support gender-responsive development within the artisanal fishing value chain by addressing barriers to women-s participation and strengthening institutional and community capacity. The assignment comprises several complementary workstreams.The consultancy will include a rapid gender and value chain assessment to identify intrinsic and extrinsic constraints affecting women-s entry, retention, and advancement in artisanal fisheries. This will involve interviews and consultations with key stakeholders from public institutions, cooperatives, and women and youth actors, with findings used to inform gender-responsive capacity-building interventions.The assignment will include the design and delivery of a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on gender sensitisation and support to women entrepreneurs for 20 extension workers from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Labour-s Cooperative Department, and cooperative organizations.The consultancy will also involve the design and implementation of a gender-sensitive training, coaching, and technical assistance programme (GET Ahead) for women and aspiring women entrepreneurs.
