This Request for Pre-qualification process is intended to solicit responses from Architects interested in working on projects with York Region District School Board (YRDSB).

Architects who have been previously pre-qualified or who are currently performing work for the Board must also respond to this request. Architects who do not participate in this Pre-qualification process and who are not subsequently approved will be excluded from bid opportunities during the term of this Pre-qualification.



NOTE: Applicants must be licensed in the Province of Ontario with a current Certificate of Practice issued by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). Any Applicant who does not hold a OAA Certificate of Practice will be disqualified from the bidding process for this Prequalification.



The successful Applicant will be entering into a Pre-qualification term of a minimum of three years. Pre-Qualification will ensure that successful firms will receive Requests for Tender, Requests for Quotation and Requests for Proposal for the period of May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2029. Please note: commencement date is an estimate only. Actual dates may differ.

Please be informed that mere Pre-qualification will not impose any obligation on York Region District School Board to actually call upon any pre-qualified Architect to perform a construction project or any other service.

Currently the Board has a contract in place for Architectural Services for the location of new and Relocation of existing Portables. This work is excluded from the work included under this Pre-qualification
