At Eura's swimming and sports hall, at the end of 2024, measurements have been made of ventilation machines at different outside temperatures, which were used to determine the heat recovery potential of the systems and the amount of waste heat. A significant was found in the measurements amount of waste heat that could be used more efficiently than at present. For example, at an outside temperature of +4 degrees, a total of up to 485 kW of waste heat potential was found from the ventilation machines, even though the property's heat demand in that condition is considerably less. In this project, the goal is to utilize the measurement results and draw up a concrete plan and implementation based on them to improve energy efficiency. In the project, the ventilation machines where waste heat recovery is technically and economically most profitable, and proposals for measures to improve the system's functionality and cost-effectiveness are drawn up. The project can also map out other ways to recover / save energy. The goal is to reduce the property's energy consumption and improves ventilation control. At the same time, the aim is to support environmental goals: improving energy efficiency and utilizing waste heat reduce the property's carbon footprint and support the transition towards a lower carbon footprint energy use. The goal is to find a long-lasting and sustainable solution that reduces the generation of waste heat and improves energy use in the entire building.
