Request For Information _ Provision Of A Managed Mobile Data Terminal Solution
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to determine the options available to the Government of Jersey (GoJ) and the capabilities of potential suppliers, to design, implement and provide ongoing fully managed services for a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) solution within its Fire & Rescue and Ambulance services.
It is envisaged that GoJ will procure a single MDT system, from a single supplier, that will integrate to
the shared Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) platform, delivering the common and distinct requirements
of the individual Fire & Rescue and Ambulance services and will be supported via a fully managed
service. This RFI will engage a range of suppliers within the MDT marketplace to test the feasibility of
this aspiration and, should this not be feasible, provide alternative options to GoJ and shaping the
requirements within an RFP.
The solution provided will ideally be a customised off the shelf product configured to deliver the specific
requirements of the services and will be accessed via a range of end-user operated hardware devices.
After evaluating all the responses to this RFI, a tender process is proposed to be conducted that will
articulate a detailed requirements specification, and issued to those vendors that meet the basic
requirements of GoJ for this project
