Request for information for notification services for SNO About the State's Nature Inspectorate The State's Nature Inspectorate (SNO) is a department in the Norwegian Environment Agency. SNO is the Norwegian Environment Agency's operative field body. The management is based in Trondheim, while the full-time employees are based locally The nature inspectorate and the wild game contacts have workplaces in the field, from inland coastal areas to the high mountains, throughout the country. SNO exercises authority under the Act on State Nature Supervision of 21 June 1996. Our most important tasks are control, supervision, information and guidance, in in addition to registration, documentation, care and facilitation. Supervision of the country's protected areas forms a central part of our business, together with tasks within predatory game management. Tasks within predatory game management consist of, among other things stock registration and damage documentation related to the compensation scheme for bufe and domestic reindeer. Our need SNO has more than 100 nature inspectors (persons with nature inspection as their job) who have their primary place of work in the field. In addition, we have approximately 150 predator contacts who work in the field on call. This places great demands on the Norwegian Environment Agency as an employer, among other things in the area of HSE. It is crucially important to us that our employees' safety is safeguarded in the best possible way at all times. Ours employees usually work in pairs or alone in the field.
