REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT (SS) - The United States Government (USG) is issuing this SS announcement in accordance with (IAW) DFARS 205.205-71 for the engineering services and supplies to support the sustainment, upgrades, and repair of the AN/SPY-1 radar system across the AEGIS Fleet and AEGIS Ashore (AA) platforms. This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this SS.
This SS does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The USG is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed.
This SS is issued for the purpose of mitigating the sole-source basis cited below.
Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division intends to solicit and award a five-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on an other than full and open competition basis to Lockheed Martin (CAGE: 02769) to procure Engineering Services and Supplies in support of United States (U.S.) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Navy new ship construction, U.S. and FMS Land Based Test Sites (LBTS), and U.S. Navy and FMS sustainment to Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (LMRMS).
